Fabulous Friday. Food, Family, Jazz.

Ok, I know it’s Saturday, but this was started yesterday, and we were home too late to get it together last night.

It was a day of food for mum and I yesterday. First up we had Villa Howden High Tea, take two. Read about take one here.

It was beautiful. The coffee was still good, the food gorgeous and the cake mum made for her friends birthday just divine.

Today is dad’s birthday so last night we went out for dinner and a jazz evening.
The cafe we went to regularly has Jazz evenings and last night was big band night.
It was brilliant.
The food as always was beautiful – antipasto platter to start, crusted salmon fillets, scallop pie, chicken pie, crepes, with the best mashed potato, and lovely roasted beetroot and parsnip – dad had tears in his eyes, and hubby organised for them to sing him happy birthday.

No photos of last night because of it was about being in hone moment.
We finished off the night with hot chocolate and coffee while I splashed out and had a liquer cappucino. A dash, of Kahlua was a tasty addition with whipped cream on top.

Big family lunch today, then my house will be full with sister and 3 kids, plus my sister in a law in visiting as well.

Have a good weekend 🙂
Jen.
