Saturday Gratitudes (on Monday)

I’m starting this weekly challenge thanks to Judith over here.
I don’t know what else to say, so I’ll just jump straight in with it.

I’m grateful for my friends. This week has been super busy, and I was in a pickle, partly my own doing, and a friend jumped in and helped, no questions asked, without a second thought, to help.

I’m grateful that my husband loves his work. Particularly as he has to leave us to do it. Now while this is not unique, flying interstate for a week at a time (soon to be two weeks) is hard enough, without having to hate your job as well.

I am grateful that my kids are healthy and happy. Simple.

I am grateful I have very few limitations for selling my jewellery and doing my craft.

I am grateful we live in a beautiful part of the world that really only has to worry about first world problems.

I told Judith it would be short, while I am grateful for many things, I am not practised at writing them down, which means thinking amount them.. Ok, I do think about them, but not for writing them down purposes.

Have a great day. 🙂

  1. I think that’s a great list! Longer would not necessarily be better. I’ve loved watching Judith do these lists and am glad you’re participating too. It’s really uplifting.

    • Thank you. I too have read Judith’s posts with awe. It ins re affirming to actually write them down.nif we think life has been bad to us, then to write down the good things brings a positive spin and makes you feel better. 🙂

  2. A lot to be grateful for, especially the kids!

When Hubby and I worry about ours we always give a moment to think of a friend whose child was dangerously ill for years. She is now healthy (comparatively) and doing great, but she almost died having transplants when nothing else could be done.

Aren’t we lucky for such a simple thing!

    • Yes we are. I’ve had friends whose kids have been seriously ill, so I don’t stress too much when mine are down. It could be a whole lot worse. My eldest had a hydrocele when he was a baby, and while overnight after surgery, he was 1, I was so upset until I heard another mum on the phone talking about her baby, who really was sick. Made me sit up right there and realise it is not all bad.

(Hydrocele is when the cord to the testes are twisted, sometimes fixes itself, sometimes not. He had two, and they were agony for him, and heartbreaking for us, until we knew what was happening)

      • Sounds awful actually! It’s amazing what they can fix,

      • Thankyou, medical procedures have certainly come along way. Apparently it is prevalent in premise babies, but they didn’t tell us that when he was born. I’m still out on whether I think they should have told us or not… Forewarned is fine, but if it doesn’t happen, I’m there stressing over nothing, literally.
