Sunday morning, market day

6am. The alarm goes off, and in my semi comatose state fumble around to turn it off, and notice something. It’s pouring. Rain, cats and dogs. Yes! The tank needs it. The market doesn’t.
6.15. Figure if I don’t get up its not going to happen, and realise it’s not that cold. Shower and do some quick thinking to figure on easy but warm clothes.
6.30. Put coffee on to cook, boil kettle for thermos, eat breaky, and sort out my lunch. Pack lunch bag, put everything into the car, dodging raindrops and the dog.
7.00 brush teeth and get in car. Ugh, coffee on minty teeth, 😦 Spend 5 mins trying to get iPod sorted through the stereo.
7.05 finally on the road, the rain gets harder the closer I am to my destination.
8.00 arrive and unpack car. Still dodging the rain and now puddles.
9.00 fully set up and ready for the people. Buy a coffee from the mobile van, do some food stall testing and return to my place.

9am – 1.30 pm. Sit around till finish time. Have lunch, chat with neighbours and friends.

1.45 I’m packed up, ready to leave and head home.
2.30 home and unpacking car. Sort out the kids and have coffee.
3.30 head out with the eldest taking him to work.
4.30 I’m home again, and thinking dinner. General this and that for a few hours.
9.00 back out to pick up son from work.
10.00 home and going to bed.

Hope your day is dry, warm and productive.
Jennifer 🙂

And my parting words (as I head out to market tomorrow)

Please don’t make me regret this….

another blog…?

I have been thinking lately, not sure if that is a good thing, about maybe having a separate blog just for my photos. The idea would be that I still do pictures and their stories here but then have another purely for showcasing photos. Posts would be a title, a location and then just pictures.

There would be some duplicates of what is here but it will be all types of pictures, (from my Marcato blog, and maybe the Woodbridge Market one as well) not just nature. Putting my best pics forward.
Is this a good idea, going for a different genre of follower or is it too much.

I started this train of thought after trawling through all the themes for blogs here trying to find one that i can include some sort of gallery on my page where I don’t have to hassle with codes or needing to change the pictures in a pic widget. (royal PITA). Something that would highlight the pictures, make them stand out.

While my new Marcato blog is good,  I’m still not 100% happy.  The post layout under the top post is not what I want.  I might change it again, probably back to the Twenty Ten theme, although I should upgrade that to Twenty Twelve.
I do like this new layout, Coraline, as the pictures are good, but may go back to a single side widget.

What do you think.  Is a fourth blog worth having a look at, (pun somewhat intended) just for photos or is it too much?

Jennifer 🙂

Is it a road trip if its only for 1 night?

Car packed – check. (Mr hook, you would be proud, my awesomeness at packing jigsaws worked again… 😉 lol)
Bags packed – check. Although as the weather is more inclement than first forecast, so some wardrobe changes were needed. One night, 2 small overnight bags.
Snacks/wallet/other stuff – check
Bus tickets for the return trip – omg, where did I put them, shit, now I have to print them again…. what’s in this stack of papers, oh, phew, there they are. CHECK!
Kindle, camera, etc & chargers – check.

Ok, we’re all set, I just have to get the kids off to school and drive over to mums.

This weekend is the Deloraine Craft Fair from Friday 1st to Monday 4th. Mum is attending this year (4.5x3m booth) with her gorgeous silk and dyed scarves, quilts and covered books along with hand dyed materials and I am going up with her today to help set up and then catching a bus home tomorrow. Hubby will meet me in Hobart.
Mum only has a small car, 4 doors and a hatch boot, and we got everything in easily with room to spare for bags. Those ladies we used the other day. Sitting Lying back and centre for all followers to see, in all their naked booby glory…. We’re sure to get a few looks on the highway with them.

If the weather clears up as promised there will be some pictures.

Think I need another coffee before we go. Maybe I can wangle buying one on the way. Driving and coffee work well together.

Have a great day 🙂
