This time last year my friend from Oregon came to visit for two weeks and I have now have some photos she took of our old house – inside and out. She is a fantastic photographer and has taken some beautiful shots. Enjoy Chris’s take on my childhood home. (And the ones my eldest took of us)

Oh wow – what a gift she gave you! That is great. Who are the people in the picture? Is that you with the short hair (your gravatar is a bit small to tell for sure)?
Nancy
It’s a wonderful gift, thank you. She is a true friend. Yes, it’s me with the short hair and with one of my sons. My friend is the last picture.
Your son is almost as tall as you! Don’t you just HATE when that happens? My daughter’s been taller than me since, oh, she was about ten years old.
At the time he was just 13, now, about to turn 14, he is taller than me. Only by a tiny bit, well an inch, but still. He is so happy! Go figure, for all of 12 months he would try and convince me he was taller. Well, now he is. Mr 8-soon-to-be-9 is getting closer each month too. He’s only an inch or so under my chin. I will be the shortest before too long.
You have great friends and great taste in photographic subjects, Jennifer!
I do don’t I,
when can I count you as one of my photographic subjects?
I have no idea! Besides, you wouldn’t want to bust your equipment, would you?
You don’t want not know what I was thinking…
If it works on us, surely you can’t be any worse…
I’ll take your word on that, Jennifer.
If you send me a pic I can then assess any future damage concerns.
Lovely photos Chris, you made my “Neverhot” (as we called it) look quite good
Chris says thanks, and she has always wanted a stove like this….
